Welcome Fellowship Church Community Playground Project
Welcome Fellowship Church is housed in a building that has been a staple in the community for years. This building was first an Elementary School—for 50 years! 2025 makes 20 years since the school closed the doors. After being occupied by the school, the building was purchased from out of state as a Community Center which served our community for over 10 years. During that time, several upgrades were made such as a new roof & a wonderful walking trail that many people utilize daily. The Community Center allowed events, homeschool programs, birthday parties, & bible studies along with other things to be hosted there. Some time later around 2019, God brought a group of people together who were looking for a place to worship. After several months of meeting and praying Welcome Fellowship Church was formed & later purchased the building. Many memories have been made within the walls and on the grounds. From its time as a School & a Community Center. Memories continue to be made here on a weekly basis. Several of our own church members actually attended the school & are now making new memories in the same building with their families, at Church. We have a vision to continue making upgrades as outreach into our community. Currently, we are working with Miracle Recreation of KY & TN on our vision for the new playground that we would like to see come to life and share with the community. This playground will be great fun for kids & families to enjoy in a safe, pleasant, & close to home location for many more years to come. We pray that this will help lead those families into the doors of our Church & closer to The Lord as well.
